FIELD RECLAMATION SUPERVISOR

Operating since 2004, Clear is proud to offer multiple environmental services which span the full lifecycle of oil and gas and commercial assets.
Position Overview
Clear is looking to add a Field Reclamation Supervisor to our team. This is a field-based contract position, with a competitive compensation package. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Field Reclamation Supervisor shall be responsible for overseeing of Clear’s reclamation and remediation projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Phase 1, 2, and 3 Environmental Site Assessments (“ESA”)
- Preliminary and Detailed Site Assessments (“DSA”)
- Soil and groundwater monitoring programs
- Remediation and reclamation programs located primarily in Alberta, however previous experience with British Columbia and Saskatchewan would be considered an asset
- Spill response and management
- Logistical and project management support for site assessments and spill response
- Training and mentorship to junior staff members
- Active participation in Clear’s Health, Safety, and Environment (“HSE”) program
- Assistance with overall management of remediation and reclamation portfolio , including project scoping, cost estimate development, sub-contractor management, project scheduling, resource allocation, etc.
Qualification Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Environmental Science, Geography, Biology, Ecology, or a similar science discipline
- Minimum three (3) years direct experience associated with Phase 1, 2, and 3 ESAs, pre-reclamation assessments, vegetation monitoring, and/or site maintenance
- Minimum one (1) year direct experience conducting DSAs
- Thorough understanding of Alberta’s remediation and reclamation criteria (knowledge of reclamation criteria within provinces of British Columbia and Saskatchewan considered an asset)
- Professional designation (or eligible for designation) within Alberta, British Columbia or Saskatchewan considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and GIS programs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organizational capability and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Valid safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Common Safety Orientation (“CSO”), etc.)
